The last 24 hours have been extremely challenging as we navigate changes to the Level 2 Alert System and sought clarification around those changes.
We have this afternoon received confirmation from Sport NZ of the following –
“In the new Alert Level 2 rules, there is no restrictions to the number of spectators that can attend a sporting event, for example a speedway track – as long as everyone can safely stay 1 metre apart. If you are organising an event, make sure everyone records their visit.”
Our Level 2 Guidelines have been updated to reflect the clarification and can be found on our website.
No doubt the changes will see a number of events rescheduled, there is still a lot of work to undertake in planning events under Level 2.
Please monitor tracks social media for changes to calendars and updates on when they will be able to operate. Some venues due to the nature of ownership, will have different restrictions in place.
Remember! Please ensure if you are attending as a competitor, crew, official, or spectator that you adhere to the guidelines.
For stakeholders in Level 3 restrictions, we hope to see you on the dirt soon!
