At the 2021 AGM track delegates voted to move the sport from the existing Dorian Lapscoring System to the internationally recognised MYLAPS architecture. 

Timing Loops will be distributed to tracks through the month of August with Transponder units becoming available via the Speedway NZ Shop at the close of August. 

Based on recent discussions with tracks, some are opting to transition to MYLAPS in full from the start of the season, with others opting to phase in the MYLAPS and some waiting until the close of the season before they make the move. 

MYLAPS units are available to purchase in various formats, with Speedway NZ securing the best pricing in Australasia as part of this all-encompassing arrangement:-

• Subscription Model (1,2 and 5 Year Subscription) Warranty with valid subscription 
• Outright 2 Year Warranty Only 

Any competitor who has purchased a Dorian unit between the 15th of July 2019 and 15th July 2021 is able to trade in their unit and purchase a MYLAPS unit at a discounted price.
