Following an announcement by Prime Minister Jacinda Arden this afternoon, saying that gatherings of 500 or more people should be cancelled because of fears of Coronavirus.

Speedway NZ are seeking confirmation from Sport NZ and the Ministry of Health on details prior to making any decisions or announcements around permitting future events.

Ardern said "social distancing would be "the new normal" and places that hosted events would see detailed guidelines later in the week about how to host smaller events safely."
