Under Rule R7-1-1(c), all racing numbers of more than two digits must be approved in writing by SNZ's Directors.
There are a number of points to note:-
- Numbers beginning with zero (0) are not allowed
- Numbers 100, 101, 110, & 111 are not allowed
- There is a $50 one-off fee for the use of a 3-digit number
Speedway NZ has enjoyed a lengthy affiliation with the SFI Foundation, and use their safety standards for the likes of helmets and seatbelts.
